I'd already photographed one wedding at Woolwich Town Hall in London a couple of years ago so I knew the venue, in fact, Katie and Florian had seen the photos of my previous wedding there and decided to book me.
Katie and Florian started their day with a 'first look' near The Horniman Museum and Gardens Museum in Forest Hill, London. In fact my first ever first look I have photographed, and, whilst common in America where Katie is from, the first look is rare here in the UK. I actually really liked it... even though I was photographing them from a distance - the moment was so intimate and it meant they had a chance to be alone together for a brief moment on a day they would be surrounded by loved ones.
We snapped a few family formal photos in the beautiful grounds and then got on the 'Wedding Special' bus and headed to Woolwich Town Hall for the ceremony.
