I’m a Birmingham wedding photographer and I’m here to capture beautiful, honest, touching and sometimes humorous, photos of your wedding day.

It brings me such joy to have a job where I get to photograph people on one of the happiest days of their lives.

I’d love to be a part of your day, wherever you are in the UK, to be there to capture the most treasured moments for you to view and keep forever.

WHY DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY?

Having worked as a graphic designer for fourteen years, I decided to challenge myself in a new career. I left the safety of my office job in 2017 and embraced my true passion - Photography.

Capturing people in the moment is why I love photography and to photograph weddings is just the icing on the cake (excuse the wedding pun). There is real magic in documenting a split second in time; the glance or reaction, the mood or motion, once a photograph is taken, the moment can be relived potentially, forever.

Wedding photography is also the most fun and rewarding style of documentary photography for me. Happy couples, families and friends, together enjoying one of the most special days in our lives. I get to be the person to document the day for a happy couple. I’m so lucky to get to do such a great job.

CAPTURING THE MEMORY

There is nothing more important than creating special memories with the people we love and I feel privileged that I work in a profession where I’m able to capture your happiest moments in the making.

Photographs have the power to invoke incredible emotions within us. They are often the things we look to save in the event of a fire. We treasure them above everything else, money can’t buy back lost memories. That’s why I feel so privileged to shoot wedding photography in Birmingham. 

MY STORY

What else about me? I met my future wife in 2015 and early on in our relationship Kate helped me to cope with my mother’s cancer diagnosis when my mom passed away only five months after being diagnosed; Kate and I had only been together for a short time but I knew she was the one for me. I married my amazing wife Kate in Tyringham, Massachusetts in 2017 at the start of our five-month road trip around America and Canada.

I realised how lucky we all are to share this life, even for the short time we’re here. It’s so important we appreciate as much of life as possible.

OUR LIFE TOGETHER

On our return, I set up my photography business and I started booking weddings. Our son Oscar was born in 2019 and he is the most amazing thing to happen to either of us. We are so lucky and privileged to have him in our lives, my mom would be so proud of him.

I’m a lover of vegetarian food and also a big music fan, I love finding new artists who are creating beautiful and, sometimes challenging music. I’m a huge fan of artists such as David Bowie, Sufjan Stevens, Radiohead, Laura Marling and many more bands – just ask Kate about my record collection!
